Ahlibank to hold year-end RO250,000 ‘salary for life’ prize draw

Muscat, ​December 2020 – Continuing the successful journey of the Wafra prize scheme 2020 by encouraging the culture of savings among its customers, Ahlibank will hold its year end grand prize draw giving an opportunity for account holders to win the RO 250,000 cash prize.

To celebrate the success of the programme, the Bank is all set to unveil the new 2021 Wafra prize scheme and its future plans, which will provide greater opportunities for winning and more benefits for customers to enrich their lives.

Commenting on the ‘Salary for Life’ 2020 prize, Mr. Muneer Al Balushi, AGM- Head of Retail Distribution, said, “True to its name- ‘Wafra’, means ‘abundance’ in Arabic and more generosity and development. It is also the embodiment of Ahlibank’s promise to its customers to enhance their banking experience to achieve financial stability and a better future for them and their families.”

He further added, “In addition to monthly and weekly, special prizes, Eid and special occasion prizes, the weekly ‘Istqrar’ prizes for retirees, and draws are targeted at various segments of the society, Ahlibank has doubled the ‘Salary for Life’ prize in 2020 by providing four opportunities to win RO 250,000. The new Wafra prize 2021 scheme, details of which will be announced later, will contribute to achieving our ambitious vision and enhance our level of excellence.”

Wafra scheme includes the ‘Salary for Life’ grand prize with a total of RO1 million, with lucky winners getting RO 250,000 each during each quarter (RO 1,000 per month over 250 months). The winners were eligible to qualify for this draw by maintaining an average quarterly balance of RO 1,000 and a minimum of RO 1,000 at the date of draw. Furthermore, the Bank has invited all its customers and individuals in general to save more in Wafra account with ahlibank, to double their chances of winning this year’s last quarterly prize.
