Effective 2 February 2026, all Visa cards with lounge access benefit must comply with below eligibility criteria to access Visa’s airport lounge program:

• Cardholders are required to make international purchase transactions equivalent to at least $100 within the previous 90 days prior entering the lounge to qualify for airport lounge access.
• Complimentary lounge visits will not be available unless this eligibility criteria are met.
• Eligible transactions include purchases made using the card at overseas point-of-sale terminals or online merchants located outside Oman, and it may take up to 10 days for such transactions to be updated in the airport lounge service provider’s systems.
• If the complimentary lounge access limit, is exceeded, a fee of USD 32 per person per visit will apply.
• Lounge access eligibility is renewed every 90 days, and cardholders must meet the qualifying transaction requirement again to continue enjoying the service.

1زWhat do I need to do to enter any airport lounge?

• Download the Visa Airport Companion app
• Create an account and sign in
• Register your ahlibank eligible Visa card in the app before arriving at the lounge
• An OTP will be sent to your mobile number to verify your details
• Once registration is complete, you can view your eligible lounges
• Present your digital membership code to the lounge staff

2. Can I register multiple cards in Visa Airport Companion?

Yes, you can register multiple cards along with your supplementary cards

3. Can I enter the lounge using my plastic card?

Airport lounges no longer accept plastic cards to enter the lounges.

4. What happens if I don’t complete $100 transaction 90 days prior entering the lounge?

You will have to pay $32 fee to the lounge

5. Do I need to spend $100 per card in case I have supplementary cards?

Yes, for each Visa card you have to meet the eligibility criteria of spending $100. You can perform multiple transactions as long as the total is $100.
