Ahlibank participates in SQU career & training opportunities fair

With an intention to connect with a large pool of qualified students, ahlibank participated in the three day SQU Career and Training Opportunities Fair 2017 held recently at the SQU Cultural Centre.

One of the most popular career fairs in Oman, the SQU Career and Training Opportunities Fair which has completed its 18th edition was organised by Centre for Career Guidance(CCG). The objective of the fair was to provide jobs and training opportunities for students and graduates of SQU. The event provided a chance for prospective employers from a wide range of sectors to meet with students interested in working for their companies. 

Representatives of ahlibank who were present at the career fair offered career consultation to SQU students and graduates. 

Lloyd Maddock, Chief Executive Officer, ahlibank said, “Promoting young talent is a strategic objective for the bank. We believe ahlibank is a perfect platform for young Omanis to embark on a career in the banking sector. The bank can provide them with encouragement, guidance and expertise needed to help them build up a career. We were delighted to participate in the SQU career fair which gave us an opportunity to understand the academic level, skills, and abilities of SQU students and graduates.” 

SQU Career and Training Opportunities Fair 2017 attracted more than 65 participants from private and governmental sectors and received nearly 15,000 visitors from all over Oman. 

Said Al Hamdani, DGM Human Resource, ahlibank said, “We were pleased to receive an overwhelming interest from students and new graduates at the SQU career fair. We are constantly looking to hire energetic and talented young Omanis. Our main aim is to attract, train and retain Omanis looking to develop a career in the banking sector. By participating in the career fairs, we hope to attract qualified Omanis who would aspire to make a career for themselves in our bank.” 

Creating career opportunities for the Omani youth remains a top priority at ahlibank. With an objective to connect with new graduates and develop brand awareness among job seekers, ahlibank recently also participated in the in the CBFS Career Fair 2017 organised by the College of Banking and Financial Studies (CBFS).
